The Eastern Seaboard World Amateur Golf Team Trophy will begin in the Pattaya area on October 9th 2011.
PATTAYA, THAILAND, September 07, 2011 /Travel PR News/ -- Non-professional golfers will be given the chance to compete in the Eastern Seaboard World Amateur Golf Team Trophy, which commences in Pattaya this October.
The international championship event will begin in the Pattaya and Jomtien area on October 9th, with the initial round of two tournaments to be conducted during the month until October 29th.
Organised with the help of Pattaya City Hall and the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the event will see two-person teams competing in stroke play tournaments of 72 holes with official handicaps.
Men's, women's and mixed categories are all on offer, with the winners of the October leg of the competition returning to Pattaya in February 2012 for the grand final.
All entrants to the competition will need to pay a deposit of 10,000 baht (GBP204) and submit the relevant personal details at least 30 days before they are due to arrive in Thailand.
Once there, they will able to enjoy competitive matches at some of the region's finest golf courses, including the Eastern Star Country Club and Emerald Golf Club.
