Drake is due to promote his new album Take Care with a show in Las Vegas on New Year's Day.
LAS VEGAS, NV, December 09, 2011 /Travel PR News/ -- Canadian rapper Drake will kick off 2012 with a special performance in Las Vegas.
The 25-year-old, currently riding high on the success of his second studio album Take Care, is due to appear at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on Sunday January 1st.
Having debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart with his latest LP, the performer looks set to dominate the American hip-hop scene for years to come.
Take Care, which was released just one year after Drake's debut album Thank Me Later and sold 631,000 copies in its first week, features guest appearances from the likes of Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Andre 3000 and Lil Wayne.
Drake is known for alternately singing and rapping his lyrics, which tend towards an introspective treatment of themes such as failed relationships and the price of fame.
Tickets to see the Toronto native on stage in Las Vegas are available online from $99.50 (GBP63.40) plus booking fee. The show is due to begin at 20:00 local time.
